Use Meditation To Reduce Stress

Meditation is a conscious way of relaxing your
mind and body for a while. Meditation is something that you
can do no matter where you are. It does not take a long time
to meditate in order to start to feel better. You can meditate
to reduce stress in just 10 to 20 minutes per session.
Before you start to meditate, dress in comfortable clothing
and find a quiet place to sit or lie down. Once you are
positioned comfortably, close your eyes. Focus all your
attention on your breathing. Make sure to breathe from your
diaphragm. To be sure, that you are breathing from your
diaphragm take in a deep breath through your nose and with your hand
on your stomach, make sure it fully expands. Then lightly push
down with your hand on your stomach while you breathe out through
your mouth.
Meditation is all about
concentration. Try to concentrate on happy thoughts. It
may help you to use a mantra when meditating. A mantra is
simply a few words that help you relax. Repeat these words
repeatedly in your mind until you start feeling calm. You
could try a single word mantra like relax, or you could say I am
relaxed, I feel calm. Say this several times to yourself in
your mind while you are relaxing.
If you find yourself
wondering off in your thoughts, and may help to say I am relaxed, I
feel calm aloud in order to get your mind back in focus. If it
helps, why not try adding some soothing music and aromatherapy
candles to keep you, feeling relaxed.
Try meditating for 10
to 20 minutes a couple of times a day and you can relax your
breathing, lower your blood pressure and make it easier to think
clearly. You can also meditate in the middle of the day if you
start feeling stressed out. This will help you to get going
again. Meditation to reduce stress and is an effective way to
help lessen anxiety, which can help you to remain calm in stressful
situations. By adding meditation to your daily routine, you'll
actually find that you have more time to do other things. The
reason for this is, that once you become stressed out, you become
dysfunctional and everything seems to take twice as long to
accomplish. Start meditating and within a couple of weeks, you
will notice a reduction in your stress levels.
When practicing meditation, make sure you do
not overdo it. Meaning, a meditation between 10 and 20 mins a day is
sufficient enough to give you a decent relaxation for the whole day.
Meditation above 1 hour is not recommended as it requires
a higher level of supervision. But do not worry, meditation can do
more good than harm once you have entered the state of calness
and peace.
